Alphonse Puthren wants Ilaiyaraaja to open a music school | Tamil Cinema News


Director Alphonse Puthren, who made his debut with the bilingual Tamil and Malayalam ‘Neram’, has been active on social media over the years and has often aired his thoughts and questions on social media. The talented director, who shot to fame with his second film ‘Premam’ starring Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi, has now revealed he wants legendary music composer Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja to open a music school.

Now that’s not all, he also added that he also wants Ilaiyaraaja to appoint Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja as teachers in the music school with acclaimed music composers Keeravani, AR Rahman, Vidyasagar, Deva and Anirudh being visiting faculties.

Expressing his wish, director Alphonse Puthren posted, “I wish and pray to the god and goddess of music…that sir Ilayaraja will open a film music school and appoint Karthik Raja sir and Yuvan Shankar Raja sir as teachers. Keeravani sir, ARRahman sir, sir Vidyasagar, sir Deva and brother Anirudh should visit Vaathi. All types of music will flourish and prosper. I hope it will happen one day.



Meanwhile, the young director is currently working on two Malayalam films, “Gold” with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Nayanthara and “Paatu” with Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara.
