Tamil Nadu’s youth wing BJP held a meeting on Sunday at which a resolution was passed warning Tamil actor Surya Sivakumar about his views on NEET.
Actor Suriya Sivakumar, who runs an educational institution called Agaram, posted a statement on Twitter against NEET’s detention on June 19 and called NEET a form of “social injustice.”
Sivakumar also alleged that NEET is robbing underprivileged students of their dreams of becoming a doctor.
Suriya Sivakumar also asserted that India being a country made up of various languages, traditions and cultural values, education should be a matter of state.
Warning to actor Suriya Sivakumar
In a meeting on Sunday, the head of the Tamil Nadu BJP youth wing, Vinoj P Selvam, accused Sivakumar of mistaking students for false propaganda and of opposing proposed welfare programs. by the central government with a hidden agenda, and thus passed a resolution against the actor.
Vinoj P Selvam also warned Sivakumar to stop such actions and said appropriate action will be taken against him if he does not.
