Columbia Public Library Holds Bonus Art Auction Sunday to Preserve Unusual Collection | Entertainment



An auction of works of art and other items to raise funds to preserve the permanent collections of art and rare books at the Columbia Public Library will take place on Sunday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m.

Participants can preview the art from 12:30 p.m. The auction takes place at 24 S. Sixth St in Colombia, overlooking Locust Street Park. It will be held on the terrace of the library at.

The purpose of the auction is twofold. Reduce the library’s art collection, which lacks storage space, and raise funds to preserve the rest of the collection.

Some of the art up for auction includes the Wilton Armetal mark from 1963 drawn in pen and ink, and several works by artist and designer Wilfred Adrian Ferguson from 1921 to 1974. I am.
