Aligarh: A special âSilver Jubilee and Alumni Meetâ program was organized to commemorate the completion of 25 years of establishment of Dr Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College and Hospital; In his presidential remark, AMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor said the Dental College has indeed come a long way and over the past two decades it has grown into a premier institute. map of the country. In the recent NIRF ranking, for the first time, Dr ZA Dental College, which provides affordable dental care, was included and was ranked 26th, he added.
Professor Mansoor paid rich tributes to the former Vice-Chancellors, former Directors of the College of Dentistry and Deans Faculty of Medicine for their enormous contribution to the formation and growth of the Dental College, with special mention to (Late) VC, Mehmoodur Rehman.
He appreciated the efforts of the principal, Professor RK Tiwari and hoped that the collective efforts will increase the seats of the college. While congratulating alumni with certificates, he said our alumni are brand ambassadors and important to the perception of the university.
Early in the day, he unveiled the monument on the premises of the Dental College and issued a special keepsake; âAksâ reflects 25 glorious years of the Dental College and University Journal of Dental Sciences.
The guest of honor, Dr Dibyendu Mazumdar (President, Dental Council of India) who joined the celebration online, in his speech appreciated the successful course of the college and stressed that any institution cannot stand not hold in a day, it takes time and the cooperation of all associated with.
The College has evolved into a strong center for dental studies, he added.
Special guest on the occasion, Mr. Naseem Ahmad (IAS) (Former Vice Chancellor, AMU) making an online appearance hailed the phenomenal growth of the college and expressed confidence that he will go through several successful stages to become the one of the best dental colleges in India.
Founding Director (Retired) Professor SH Hashmi attended as a VIP guest and shared his college experiences.
In an inaugural address, Professor Rakesh Bhargava (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, JNMC) said these 25 glorious years are a testament to the hard work of our dedicated faculty and the self-interest shown by staff and students.
Professor Shahid Siddiqui, Director and CMS JNMCH, said the Dental College has made commendable progress over the past two and a half decades in its pursuit of excellence in the field of dentistry.

The Chief Coordinator, Prof. ND Gupta, in his welcome speech highlighted the history of the College.
On this occasion, the founding director, the former deans and former directors were also congratulated.
In the evening, a cultural and interactive program was organized for the Alumni.
Several events have been held since December 16, 2020 to commemorate the Dental College’s Silver Jubilee celebration.
