Fun and Rewarding Weekend for Pearlridge Rotarians and Interact Club Students |

I would like to share a wonderful start to the weekend with my fellow Rotarians at the Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) who started very early Friday morning to help out at Highlands Intermediate School. RCOP President Dick Mosko, Board Members Rick Lau and I joined Highlands Intermediate Student Activities Coordinator Eric White and Highlands Interact / Student Council students to set up tents, tables and Christmas themed inflatables for the official school winter event held on campus at the courtya athletic building

Next Friday, RCOP was truly honored to welcome special guest speaker Del Green to our 12:00 noon lunch meeting held in the Grill Room of the Pearl Country Club. Del, former district governor of Rotary District 5000 of Hawaii and current chair of the district Rotary Foundation committee, spoke to RCOP members and guests about the latest news from The Rotary Foundation.

RCOP community volunteers who were joined by RCOP / Our Savior Lutheran School Interact students, school principal Clarence De Lude, teachers and school supporters, came early Saturday morning to help with the RCOP’s Pearl Harbor Bike Path monthly beautification project.

Volunteers picked up trash along the Pearl Harbor bike path and shoreline near Blaisdell Park in Aiea from Puuloa Springs to the Peace Bell near the bridge near Cutter Ford.

Mahalo to RCOP volunteers, Dick Mosko, Gordon Arakaki. Ed Kido, Clarence De Lude, Pauline Matias, myself (Barry Villamil), RCOP supporter Mary Villamil and students from Our Savior Lutheran Interact School and Ohana School for lending a helping hand to help beautify the community on Saturday.

Service above you …
