Governor of Arunachal calls for physical, intellectual and emotional stability for cadets


Governor of Arunachal – Brig Dr BD Mishra (Retired) has emphasized physical, intellectual and emotional stability training for the cadets, with the aim of shaping their personality.

Addressing the “4th Day of Awakening Celebrations” of Sainik School at Niglok in East Siang District, the Governor of Arunachal called on all stakeholders to help make the school a model institute, where every parent would like to send their children.

“It is commendable that the school, even during the COVID 19 pandemic, has maintained its core academic programs,” he said.

The governor also emphasized developing the character of the cadets to make them capable, honest and useful citizens of the nation.

He expressed his admiration for the development of cadets and said the institution is creating a solid foundation for the country’s future military personnel.

The Governor congratulated MP (Lok Sabha) Shri Tapir Gao, MP Ninong Ering, General Officer Commanding 56th Infantry Division, Major General Rajiv Ghai, who is the Chairman of Local Council Administration, the District Administration, the State Department of Education and the State Government for providing all necessary assistance for the operation of the Sainik School.

The governor expressed his admiration for the admission of female cadets into the school and affirmed that societies with full gender representation in educational institutions will progress with time.

During the event, the governor also commended the cadets for their academic achievements and presented the book – ‘Exam Warriors’, written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to each of the awarded cadets.

He also channeled the newly appointed School and House Captains including School Captain Cadet Zingbai Tali and School Warrant Officer Cadet Tokiram Tagi and gave them the appointment shash.

Taking to Twitter, the Governor of Arunachal wrote, “Participated in the celebration of the 4th day of raising Sainik School, East Siang in Niglok, East Siang District and congratulated the cadets for their academic achievements and presented Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s book ‘Exam Warriors’ to the cadets.

“I sent my best wishes to the cadets and fraternity of the Sainik School and called on all stakeholders to help make the institute the best in the North East. Emphasize the physical, intellectual, emotional and personality development of cadets to promote the school’s motto of Education, Character and Nationalism, and emphasize the need to develop cadets into bright, honest and useful citizens of the nation. – he added.
