Cedarville University and the Big Tent Accelerator (BTA), based in Chicago, Illinois, are working together to deliver relevant, on-demand job training to entrepreneurs and their teams.
Cedarville’s partnership with BTA offers the university a new way to provide adult learning opportunities to its students around the world. Through this agreement, Cedarville will have a virtual academy of sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions and leadership development sessions. What sets this content apart from traditional courses is that each course will be steeped in biblical principles and taught by seasoned and successful entrepreneurs who are living their faith in business today.
In return, BTA will have a trusted and leading educational service provider in Cedarville to serve as the delivery platform for this innovative programming.
The Big Tent education team has already developed over 150 entrepreneurship training modules for organizations such as Christian Business Fellowship (CBF), a national peer advisory group for Christian business owners. As part of this partnership, FCB members will be able to access Cedarville’s courses at a reduced price so that they can continue their professional development.
“Entrepreneurs and their teams who want to advance their business education can do so affordably at the University of Cedarville,” said LaVon Koerner, director of the Big Tent Accelerator. “We will produce high impact and engaging learning experiences taught by successful entrepreneurs, and Cedarville’s excellent continuing education team will ensure it is accessible to learners around the world. “
The first two tracks currently in production are “Work as Worship” and “The Art of Recruiting A-Talent”. Both will be provided free of charge to learners around the world. It’s part of the investment Cedarville and Big Tent and Cedarville are making to serve market leaders who seek to honor God in their work. Full courses will be published later and will have an association fee. Some of the courses will serve as additional training for Cedarville business students as part of the MBA program.
With offices in downtown Chicago and St. Charles, Illinois, the Big Tent Accelerator is led by a group of seasoned Christian entrepreneurs, writers, and ministry leaders. In addition to providing free and paid services to organizations ranging from startups to over $ 100 million in revenue, Big Tent has a team of educators who deliver comprehensive lectures, workshops, and courses to partner organizations.
