The government is committed to undertaking a facelift of the Mathari Teaching and Referral Hospital, said Mutahi Kagwe, cabinet secretary of health at the Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Speaking during a visit to the hospital earlier Tuesday, the cabinet secretary said the facility will be given dedicated resources to ensure it occupies its rightful place as the premier hospital in teaching and benchmark that it is meant to be.

“As a department and the government as a whole, we appreciate the work you do to serve some of the most vulnerable members of society. Mental health patients are among the most vulnerable members of society whose welfare is compromised by their status and need support.“Said the health center.
While addressing the hospital staff, tthe cabinet secretary greeted efforts of all workers ease. “I urge don’t be discouraged even when things seem so difficult. God will reward you for your selfless efforts â, observed Kagwe.
During the visit, the health center witness the vaccine of patients and limbsto the public at the establishment as a member of National Accelerated Vaccination Campaign that was launched last week.
