Gold Coast teacher Ben Crawford said myGC TAFE Queensland offers a range of courses in both music and sound production.

“We have courses from Cert III level up to bachelor’s degree programs,” he said.
“For graduates of the diploma program, both in music performance and sound production, if they pass the diploma, they can actually use it for a one-year credit under our bachelor’s program. . “
The diploma path allows students to earn both a diploma and a bachelor’s degree in the time it usually takes to graduate on their own.

Studying in this way also allows students to practice their degree skills in the music industry while completing their degree.
Student Luke Houselander really liked it, the talented musician now studying a bachelor’s degree in contemporary music after graduating.
“I decided to go into bachelor’s degree after my graduation so that I could continue to use the facilities, like the studios, and also continue to develop my network,” he told myGC.
“The teachers are all really professional, they are all real-world artists, producers and sound engineers.”
Mr Crawford said students studying at TAFE Queensland’s Coomera Creative Campus have access to world-class facilities.
“We are very lucky, we have large-scale performance spaces, excellent studio facilities, and the advantage of working from the Creative Industries campus is that we also have the opportunity to work with other qualifications. So we are working with our screen and the media team and our arts department with truly holistic results, ”he said.
