Virtual webinar on POCSO: The Tribune India


Karnal: A virtual webinar on POCSO was organized by Mount Litera Zee School, Karnal, for students of VX classes. Director Deep Bedi as well as staff and students participated enthusiastically. Dr Nand Kishore, psychotherapist and psychiatrist from AIIMS, New Delhi, was the resource person and he enlightened them on the importance of the POCSO law of 2012. He said children should learn that they are the owners of their bodies. Correct names for their anatomy should be taught. It is everyone’s duty to guide and keep children safe, and it should be easy for them to understand what a safe touch is. They should be empowered to say no.

International webinar at NDRI

Karnal: An international webinar on “Food-Microbe Interactions and Human Health” was organized at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) under the auspices of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) by the Division of animal biochemistry. The webinar was conducted under the direction of Dr Manmohan Singh Chauhan, Director, NDRI. Dr RRB Singh, Co-Director of Academics, Dr Dheer Singh, Co-Director of Research, acted as co-sponsors and Dr Rajeev Kapila, Senior Scientist, hosted the webinar. Approximately 125 participants from different regions of the country attended the webinar.

JC Bose University signs Memorandum of Understanding

Faridabad: JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi, which is the constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. According to an official, the collaboration will help the two institutions work together in science, technology, innovation, research, policy studies and science communication. The university can also make a great contribution to the promotion of science journalism.

The Mathematics Behind Data Transmission

Faridabad: Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh hosted a conference on “The Mathematics Behind Data Transmission”. Dr KL Kaushik, HoD, Mathematics, Aggarwal College and Dr Arpana Garg, Head, Department of Mathematics, IB PG College, Panipat, were the keynote speakers. The experts discussed the methods of transmitting, encoding and decoding data required in commercial practice. A total of 55 students attended the conference marked by question-and-answer time. Principal Dr Krishan Kant, Priya Arora, Dr Naresh Kamra, Neha Goel, Renu Bala and Geeta Tripathi, staff from the mathematics department were among the participants in the program.

Modern trends in quality education

Faridabad: The Chemistry Department of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in association with Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, Rewari, organized a one-day seminar on “Modern trends in ‘quality education’. No less than 178 participants from the two universities attended the seminar which was held under the aegis of the internal quality assurance unit (IQAC).

Ambassador of change

Faridabad: The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) selected the JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, to be the AICTE Brand Change Ambassador under his leadership in the Excellence Program in education (LITE) for the 2021-22 academic year. The university is the only Haryana Affiliate University selected under the program from among 21 state-affiliated universities and will function as a model institution to implement AICTE’s leadership in the Teaching Excellence Program. in state universities to implement online teaching-learning methods aligned with national education. policy-2020. Through its Institution of Change Brand Ambassadors, AICTE has a plan to expand the program to more affiliated institutions starting in the 2022-23 academic year.
