Zonta Club of Midland Scholarship Applications Available


The Zonta Club of Midland announces the following opportunities for women of all ages, pursuing career goals that will positively impact the status of women, to apply for the Zonta Scholarships.

The Zonta Club of Midland is offering six scholarships of $2,500 each to be used at any post-secondary institution, for the cost of certification or for vocational training. Scholarships can be applied to tuition, fees, and items in the student account. The scholarships are for women who are re-entering the workforce, who are in the workforce and returning to school or entering college or vocational certification directly after high school.


Zonta is offering a $500 local scholarship for the Young Women in Public Affairs Fellowship. The award recognizes young women between the ages of 16 and 19 who demonstrate superior leadership skills, a commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. The local winner will be referred to the district and will be eligible for a $1,500 scholarship. The district winner will be referred to the International Scholarship to be eligible for an additional $4,000 International Scholarship. Applications are due by February 15.

Zonta is offering a $500 scholarship for the Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to encourage women to pursue careers and seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and around the world. The local winner will be referred to the district to compete for a $2,000 district scholarship. District winners will compete for an international scholarship of $8,000. Applications must be submitted by June 1.

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship is available to women of any nationality pursuing a PhD/PhD who demonstrate a superior academic record conducting applied research in aerospace engineering or space science are eligible. It is imperative that students be enrolled in a full-time doctoral/doctoral program and have completed at least one year of such program or have obtained a master’s degree in a field applied to aerospace at the time the application is submitted.

The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually and can be used at any university or college offering accredited postgraduate courses and degrees in these fields. The 2022 application will be published in July.
